The Golden Rule

This message won't be just another pep talk on how to live better. It's something that can truly set our lives apart from everyone else's.

We often treat people one way and assume they will treat us back in the same way. We give to them, spend time with them, pour into them, love them and treat them the way we want to be treated, only to be disappointed and let down by them. If our motivation on how to treat people is predicated on how they treat us, then we've missed essential teaching from Jesus. Scripture seems to indicate that we can't control people based on our actions towards them. So, why are we surprised when it doesn't?
